More than 300 members of the General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada will vote for a new Primate today.
Their choice is from among three candidates nominated by the House of Bishops last month: Bishop Ronald Ferris of Algoma, Archbishop Andrew Hutchison of Montreal and Bishop Caleb Lawrence of Moosonee,
The new Primate will be formally installed in office during a service At Christ’s Church Cathedral in Hamilton on Friday.
A news conference with the new Anglican Primate will be held as soon as possible after the announcement of the election results.
The news conference is tentatively scheduled for Room 258 of the Thistle Complex at Brock University in St. Catharines.
