Procedures for election of Prolocutor and Deputy Prolocutor of the General Synod
- Job description of Prolocutor and Deputy Prolocutor as well as nomination forms will be mailed to delegates in the Convening Circular.
- Nominations for Prolocutor, in writing, with nominees consent and some biographical background will be accepted by the Chair of the Nominating Committee until 4:00 p.m., Saturday, May 29. (Day 2)
- The candidates will be introduced following the close of nominations and biographical information will be available prior to the beginning of the evening session, 7:00 p.m. Saturday, May 29. (Day 2)
- Voting, with a majority being required for election, will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 29. (Day 2) The announcement of the election results will take place prior to the evening adjournment along with the call for nominations for a Deputy Prolocutor.
- Nominations for Deputy Prolocutor, in writing, with nominees consent and some biographical background will be accepted by the Chair of the Nominating Committee until 12 noon on Sunday, May 30. (Day 3)
- The candidates will be introduced at the beginning of the afternoon session, 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 30 (Day 3) and copies of the biographies will be supplied to members by 5:00 p.m., Monday, May 31. (Day 4)
- Voting, with a majority being required for election, will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 31. (Day 4)
- Provincial caucuses will meet to elect members for the Council of General Synod at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, June 1. (Day 5)
