Duncan Wallace from the Diocese of Qu’Appelle Note: The mover and the seconder must be members of the General Synod and be present in the House when the resolution is before the synod for debate. BE IT RESOLVED: That this General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada recognizes the personal sacrifice and acknowledges the dedication of the teachers, supervisors and support staff who devoted so much of their lives to the education and care of the aboriginal children in the Residential Schools of Canada.EXPLANATORY NOTE Many devoted Christians answered the call of The Anglican Church of Canada and laboured with integrity and honour in the Residential Schools. Many of these individuals continue to be remembered fondly by the students placed in their care.
