Discussion group rules: The do's and don'ts

  1. Please note that this is a Public forum as such let us respect each other's views and ideas.
  2. Be polite and courteous.
  3. When sending a message, clearly indicate your topic on the subject line.
  4. It is required that you sign your name to each message. Using the e-mail signature capability of your software will help.
  5. Messages should be sent in standard text format so that everyone on the list can be able to read it.
  6. Before sending your message, check the "To" field to be sure it's going to the right place. There is nothing more embarrassing than sending a private message to a public forum!
  7. When replying to a message, please quote the relevant parts of the message you are replying to so that others know what you are referring to. Don't quote the whole message unless it is relevant.
  8. Don't be afraid to ask questions, such as "how do I..?"
  9. Use emoticons to indicate mood, such as a smile J to indicate a joke.
  10. Please don't type in all CAPITALS, it is the equivalent of shouting.
  11. Don't send any file attachments.
  12. Remember that your bishop might be on this list. Act accordingly.
  13. Remember the Golden Rule: "Type unto others what you would have them type unto you. "
