Synod 2004 worship book to be available on-line

May 17, 2004 -- A text version of the order of service for General Synod 2004, will be posted on the gs2004.anglican.ca website for those unable to attend Synod 2004, but who would like to follow the worship on the web.

The "shorthand version" of the General Synod 2004 Worship Book, as Eileen Scully, General Synod's consultant for worship and ministry, calls it, will feature major worship highlights, the opening service, the primatial elections and installation services and bible studies that will take place in home groups. Also featured will be morning and evening prayers, said Ms. Scully.

"Due to copyright issues, the whole worship book could not be published on the website," said Ms. Scully. However, for those attending the General Synod, hard copies of the worship book will be available.

Some of the texts have been translated into French and Cree. All the texts will be posted on the website a few days before the General Synod starts.
